Indie review of Perception Nail Laquer

Today I am bringing you some lovely reviews on PerceptionNailLacquer, this line was created by one of the lovely ladies of ManiMommies, and the wonderful Jen of Jen'sNailFiles was kind enough to more or less do a guest review on these polishes, so what I am saying here is the pictures and opinions stated here are Jen's not my own, as I don't yet have any Perception Lacquer.  So I hope you enjoy Jen's reviews, we will be showing you 3 different beautiful polishes.

Here are the bottle shots just to tease you a little bit, with what's to come :)
Aren't those labels just so cute! I think so! :) And Amy of Perception Lacquer does reuse old bottles in order to keep costs down just so you know. These are $10 a bottle and free shipping in the U.S.A!

First up is Perception Nail Lacquer's Blue Morpho!

This is Jen's wonderful bottle shot! See all that going on in there! Isn't it beautiful?

Blue Morpho is a blue scattered holographic polish.  It is SO sparkly!

Look at all the wonderful holo sparkles!!

Personally I think this is my favorite of the 3!

Application was a breeze.

Jen used 2 coats to achieve this wonderful coverage.

All right next up is the ever so lovely Perception Nail Lacquer's Perplexing Me Purple.
Look at all the purple goodness!

Jen says:  "Perplexing Me Purple is a medium purple holo-y sparkly polish with a few small circular holo-silver glitters.  It applied very well."

In these pictures she applied 2 coats.

It also has some larger silver hexes hiding in there!

It is a very lovely purple with tons of sparkle to add some zip to your day :)

Application and consistency was amazing!

And last but definitely not least we have Perception Nail Lacquer's Mermaid Kisses!
This one is Jen's favorite, which surprised her since she is a blue girl.

Jen say:  "It's a bright teal-y blue with a wonderfully shiny finish!  One coat was enough but I did two because I always do."

This lovely polish has some irregular shaped foil type glitters in it that give it that extra little bang! Along with small hex and square glitters! Amazing how all that is packed in there and looks so wonderful isn't it?!

Application and consistency were outstanding as usual :)

So ladies (and gents) who doesn't need a great bright teal with sparkly goodness? Everyone does of course :)

There was no streaking or running with any of these polishes!

I hope you all enjoyed the post today and come back again soon! Don't forget to check out Amy at PerceptionNailLacquer! She has some other amazing stuff! Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)

Above the Curve Nail Polish in 7 Sea's Breeze!

Today I am bringing you a review of AboveTheCurveNailPolish in 7 Sea's Breeze.  This is a super glittery polish and if you know me you know that I dislike these with a passion, okay that's a lie! I love to look at them, I just hate to remove them :) This is one is a jelly blue base with all kinds of micro glitters, small glitters, medium glitters, and large glitters! It has hex, square, and bars! This is a very pretty color that you can build up to opaque with 2 coats or you can layer if you want to. I had absolutely no application issues, I didn't have to fish for glitter or anything like that. And I got different glitters for each nail. In the pictures I have it alone with 2 coats and a top and base coat. This is a polish that I would recommend to anyone that loves blues or glitter bombs! There was some slight curling with some of the squares but it was completely workable. Also, some curling with the bars, but I have yet to buy a polish with bars in it that didn't curl some. I think part of the curling was due to the extreme heat when the polish was on its way to me, waiting to be delivered, and waiting for me to pick it up.  It was over 100 degrees here so honestly I think that had a little to do with it. So quick quick piece of pointless advice: If you can wait to buy your glitter bombs until it isn't so hot out, I would. Oh, wait no I wouldn't! But it's a good thought to keep in mind. :) So on with the PICTURES!! (because if you are like me that's the important part!)

Back of the Bottle Shot :)

Awesome Label Shot ^ Isn't is cute!? There's a Butterfly on it :)
Micro shot of the bottle. Look at all that different glitter!

These 3 show the slight curling of the square glitters.  I used 1 coat of Sech Vite for my top coat and it was completely smooth. So they are workable and would be less noticeable if they were flipped the other way of course. I have discussed it with the seller and we both believe that the extreme heat played a major role in this curling as her tester bottle that hasn't been exposed to the heat is fine. Regardless of the slight curling I LOVE this polish. And recommend it to all of you:)

I hope you all have enjoyed this post and come back again soon.  Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)

Elixir Lacquers: Bad Kitty Review :)

Alright today I have a wonderful post for you on an Indie polish that I have had for quite a while, but was super lazy and didn't get my blog post up on it! So since I am organizing some really super things to come and this awesome brand might just be part of it, I thought HEY! get the review done dang it! :) So here we are! This review is for the wonderful Elixir Lacquers in Bad Kitty witch was a limited edition polish that I was lucky enough to get my hands on. Here is a little something from Elixir Lacquers website, their mission statement:

Our mission is simple: to provide the best products and service to our customers at the lowest prices possible. We take great pride in our company, our commitment to customer service and in the products we sell. Our online store is designed to provide you with a safe and secure environment to browse our product catalog.

Now to me it's nice to see things like this and since I have chatted with Nicole of Elixir I know this is true and they have excellent customer service, although I have never had a problem with any of their products, I was just inquiring about some things and she was very helpful and I really appreciated it.

Alright back to business here, I got Bad Kitty from them which is a fairly transparent polish, you can build it up in about 3 to 4 coats if you don't use an undie, but I find it easier and just as pretty to use one, for this review I used a plain white and 2 coats of Bad Kitty.  This is a very pretty sort of duochrome.  It changes subtly in different light from purple to blue/green.  It's jam packed with shimmery goodness and has a frosted look to it. I am usually not a fan of the frosted polishes but I love the way this one looks. So without further ado here are some pictures for you!

This was taken in the shade and it looks very blueish purple here.

Now this was in the direct sunlight and here you even see a little bit of pink in with the purple and turquoise!

So pretty!

This is a close up bottle shot of the prettiness that is Bad Kitty.

Here is an up close of my nail showing the pinkiness and the turquoise shimmers. Such a lovely color!

And here is the lovely Bad Kitty with some various nail art that I did!

My first tuxedo mani! I added some glitter to it: Thumb is Lacquer Conventions Observatory, Pointer is Lacquer Convetions Pop Tart, and Ring is GlitterFest Water Wings!

This was my first mani using Bad Kitty and trying out Butterfly Wings nail art!

Here are the ways to find Elixir:
On Facebook
Their Shop

Here are how to find the others that I briefly mentioned: GlitterFest/etsy and GlitterFest/FB; LacquerConvention/etsy and LacquerConvention/FB

I hope you all enjoyed this post and come back again soon!  Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)

I really love this color! They are really pretty and they don't dig into the sides of your finger nail beds and cause discomfort like a lot of other press on nails do. I have never felt press on nails like these. I love the flexible material they are made of, it gives a lot more comfort than any other.  They are not super long which is great so you don't have to worry about cutting a bunch off and filing. They are a great doable length right out of the package. In the picture my 6 year old daughter is wearing the imPRESS nails and even for her they really weren't super long. I am super impressed with how long they lasted also. Any press on's that can last my 6 year old 3 days has my vote! Plus they don't hurt to remove. This is a great product and quick and easy, I believe it took me a total of 5 minutes to apply these to my daughter. Try them out!

Thank you for checking out my blog post, I hope you enjoyed it and come back again soon. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking.

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

Here I will tell you about another wonderful product that I received from Quaker and Influenster in the Mom VoxBox that I was lucky enough to receive. The Quaker soft baked oatmeal cookie.  Now I really only got a very small taste of it, but from what I did taste it was great. My kids shared it after they took it! They all absolutely loved it, and they said it was better than the cookies that I make them. So as soon as I find them in stores I will definitely be buying some.
Some information from Quaker:
Enjoy chewy, soft-baked cookies in a family-favorite flavor! With wholesome Quaker Oats and delicious raisins, you’ll never remember they came from our kitchen instead of yours.

-Made with Whole Grain Quaker Oats
-Individually packaged
-Provides a good source of fiber
-Contains 6 grams of total fat per serving

These are wonderful cookies and I recommend everyone try them!

I hope you enjoyed this post and will come back again soon for another.  Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking.

The Many Uses of Ivory

Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you a little about the wonderful bar soap from Ivory that I received from Ivory in my Influenster Mom VoxBox to test out!

To start, I used this product as an all over body wash, it was wonderful! It really helped moisturize my skin. I really enjoy this product! I also, used it as a facial wash, which was wonderful. It really helps balance out my skin. I really am enjoying the benefits of using Ivory.  I haven't used it to remove stains yet, but I am definitely going to try that! My husband also used Ivory to wash his hands after working on a vehicle, which left his hands all covered with grease and grime of all sorts, and Ivory worked wonderfully at removing all the icky stuff from his hands! I was very impressed by this.

I would definitely recommend Ivory for all of your everyday washing needs :)  I absolutely love the value of the Ivory products.  They are affordable to all families and the benefits are great!

And here is a picture of me washing my face with Ivory!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and you come back again soon. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile, you never know whose looking :)
